Insolvency Accountant


Accountant interested in a move to Insolvency?

Location: Norwich

Contract: Permanent- full-time or part-time

Salary: £25,000.00 to £30,000.00 /year (part-time pro-rata)

Experience: 2 years (preferred)

Qualified ACA/ACCA accounting professional to join our Norwich office.

Job Description:

Based in the Norwich office you will develop your career as an Insolvency specialist /administrator with increasing involvement with advisory work as you develop, learn and progress within a team of experienced insolvency and corporate recovery professionals providing ongoing support, guidance and mentoring. You will learn and develop the skills across both corporate and personal insolvency work with involvement across administrations and CVAs, liquidations of insolvent and solvent companies, along with bankruptcies and IVAs. The senior manager and director will support and develop the right person making this transition from a more standard accountancy practice role and will encourage, support and develop the right professional.


The Successful Applicant:

You will be any of ACA/ACCA qualified, with a career background so far within the audit, tax, accounts/business service lines or other areas and be looking to diversify your career into the insolvency and corporate recovery sector, motivated by the chance to move into this field and into a role where you can see a genuine clear progression and development path on offer.

Apprenticeship in Accounting


Location: Norwich

Salary: £10,000 a year- full time, Apprenticeship in Accounting in a Business advisory role

To support a team of dynamic and highly experienced professionals in the delivery of timely and accurate administration on all case files.

Key responsibilities include:

Enrolment and attendance at college one day/week (term dates) and pass all Level 2, 3 & 4 AAT exams.

Using our business systems including MS office, email and IPS software to draft letters, statutory reports and general correspondence.

Using our internal database and systems to accurately record information.

Corresponding with creditors, debtors, directors and other stakeholders.

Produce accurate file notes on overview of bank statements and other investigations.

Assist with drafting Director investigation reports and identify any areas for further review.

Prepare periodic case reviews and ensure all case files are maintained.

Answering the telephone and directing calls as appropriate.

Filing, faxing and photocopying. Drafting standard documents and letters.

Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.

Providing administrative support to the rest of the team.
